L-desk consists of a main desk (68-1/4"W x 32"D x 30"H), return (49"W x 23-1/2"D x 30"H), and hutch (69-1/4"W x 13"D x 43"H). Total grommets: three.The Southampton Onyx Computer L-Desk with right return and hutch is designed to combine the prestige of an executive desk with the modern convenience of a computer desk, all with plenty of workspace. For storing documents and supplies, the left pedestal of the desk has a locking letter/legal file drawer and two utility drawers. Pencil drawer has a fold-down front panel, allowing it to double as a laptop drawer.
Right hand return has a doored cabinet (12"W x 21"H) with faux drawer fronts that conceals a cabinet for holding your PC tower. PC cabinet even includes a built-in power strip for crucial surge protection and convenient access to power.L-Desk has a fully finished back with conference overhang - perfect for small, impromptu meetings.
The overhead Storage Hutch provides additional display and storage space. Display collectibles and awards in the glass doored cabinets, each of which contains one adjustable shelf. Open center section has a display/bookshelf and built-in 45-disc capacity CD rack. Back panel of hutch stops short of desk top, provising convenient wire routing opening.

It was scary buying three pieces of furniture online, but like you I read all the reviews and hoped I wasn't being lead astray. I've had this furniture a week and LOVE it!! After 22 years in my office and starting with a metal desk, then Sauder L desk and regular desk in the mid 90's, I feel like I am entering an executive suite when I walk into my office now. I would RECOMMEND that you have a small mirror and flashlight to hook all your computer power cords into the master power unit. Very easy then. The console and lateral file complete my purchase. I like the two tone appearance immensely, I, too, leave the hard drive door open for air circulation around that unit. Thank you, OfficeFurniture for a very pleasant purchase.

This desk is just what I envisioned - a nice piece of furniture that is sturdy enough for a professional office setting. I like the distressed black, with the lighter top to break up the color. The keyboard tray was broken when it arrived, but I had already planned on replacing it with another keyboard tray, so it was no big deal. Other than that, it is perfect. Easy to put together; however, I did have four maintenance guys who took about 45 minutes to complete the job. It may take one person or a couple, a little longer. In addition to this desk, I also got the matching oversized bookcase, the 2-drawer lateral file and the writing table. Very happy with my choices.

The wife got the L desk, we are very pleased with both desk, looks great in our home office, and plenty of room for all her stuff!!! We would deffinently buy from Office Furniture again. We are very happy with the quality of the product, and our home office has a classie look now, a pleasure to work in. Thank you!!

After checking the particle board offerings at Office Max, Staples, I decided I needed better feel/quality for my home office (where I work from full time). I needed room, sturdiness, and style. THIS unit fits the bill perfectly. I also found Officefurniture.com's pricing to be better than local furniture stores. The sales lady at OfficeFurniture was perfect, making sure I had everything I needed. entire sale was smooth, delivery accomodated my schedule and white glove delivery was perfect. even comes with built in surge suppressor pre labeled for printer, monitor, computer, and two aux ports. Great deal!

Terrible Online Purchase

Wow... Just wow... When purchasing the desk, due to the weight, be prepared for an addition $200 charge to have them bring it in to your home. The desk looks good but ENDS right there. The drawers are the only thing wood about this desk. The rest of it is little more than press board. When the delivery guys showed up, they stripped the wood right where the return connects due to it only screwing in to soft particle board. All the drawers warble when pulled out. The desk is worth a third of the price.

Sometimes you take a great risk buying something as expensive as an office furniture grouping on the internet, sight unseen. You can not fully determine the quality or functionality of such large items by seeing them only on a computer screen or in a catalong. But, no fear here. The pieces I purchased were far nicer than I expected and really make a statement in my new office.

Buying something like this on-line is a first for me as I am not an impulse buyer and typically shop brick & mortar to get an in-person visual of the product. I am not disappointed here at all, and love this desk. The quality of wood is exactly what I hoping for, very sturdy, beautiful grain, well porportioned, and looks very expensive. The delivery was also a good experience with pre-notification to set up the delivery appointment. One suggestion though...ask for a copy of the operating manual for the power control center which I could've used when plugging all my cords into the data port system.
